By the way, "Begin with the end in mind" is quoted from the book, 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, by Stephen Covey. This is a great book that I recommend to everyone in business.
Yet another excellent episode, thanks Cal & Brenda. Lots of great advice.
I think beginning with the end in mind is a fabulous reminder for our client sessions & after you said it & gave examples it seemed such a common sense thing that we should be doing. But sometimes I think the problem might be there's too much going on, especially in the first session, with the client giving lots of information, we might somehow get a little lost or overwhelmed. Another reason why a checklist is useful.
It is indeed fantastic not to be a lone hypnotist & as I always tell you, I am truly grateful for all you do and I have no doubt whatsoever that I am a better hypnosis professional because of it.
Thank you Susan, you are right- on session 1, there is so much going on, but when thinking about having the end in mind, there is the end of that day's session to keep in mind and there is the end of the final session. On session 1, you want to have the big picture end in mind, but you don't have to accomplish every goal that day.... Give them hope they are headed in the right direction and you'll be in great shape!
