This podcast 321 came at just the right time for me today. I had just finished a direct suggestion session with a client that I felt went very well. it seems though, that after almost every first session, of which I always do a direct suggestion only session, the client emerges wondering if they were in fact in hypnosis. Even though I always tell them that it may not feel any different being in hypnosis than it does being awake, they always seem disappointed that the feeling wasn't more profound or earth shattering. I know i have a good level of somnambulism because I follow the 5 Path steps as Cal has them laid out in the course and do the testing as I go along. The comment always deflates me a little and leaves me feeling frustrated and less confident. I'm wondering how other hypnotists handle this or if this comes up for them.
First off, even though you have a deep level of hypnosis going with the client, Hypno-1%ers also use convincers to demonstrated to the client that she really is in hypnosis.
