This video was excellent and very insightful for me. To add to what I think a hypnotherapist needs to be successful - especially in the beginning, is to get plenty of practice on people prior to setting up their business, to give themselves confidence that they CAN get people into hypnosis. Passion is huge, I know from my own past experience, when I have a passion to do something, nothing stops me! You talked about belief in hypnosis, I also think that hypnotherapists need to be hypnotized a few times to realize the amazing magic of hypnosis, then they can be true believers, as you mentioned in the video. Keeping a positive attitude and not let the little things stop you, keep the focus on having a successful business, and I believe that by doing that, you can make this happen!
Hello cal,
It was a wonderful video,
I have to say I was hypnotized as a teenager in England where I studied, and that therapist did a lot of age regression, that was the time where I got the passion and I knew I will be a hypnotherapist one day,
When I came back to Canada, I went searching for more hypnotherapist, I found 2 of them, but the did not do age regression, I wanted to have more age regression done,
So as I was doing my training as a social worker, I knew I would need something more to help my clients, so I went out and looked for a hypnosis class,
I have to say I made many mistakes that you write in your book hypnotherapy, what to do before you get your training,
As I was done with my class I had the passion, I opened up 2 practices, I did advertisement, gave lectures, it worked because I knew the field, but it was something was not right,
I went to a friend that had your old version of 5 path, and after watching the tapes, I knew that one day I will be certified in 5 path,
it dose not look like I will be able to sit in a live class, since they go on Saturday and I’m Jewish,
so I bought 5 path 2.0, I have both of your books, I got your videos on inductions, as I did that I see more mistakes that I have made,
Wow...what synchronicity! I'm just getting into the field of hypnosis, and I'm not yet certified. I'm currently reading books, practicing 7th Path, and receiving hypnosis sessions from professionals in town.
I've experienced a variety of energy therapies like EFT, TAT, BSFF, PEAT, Shamanism ( soul retrieval ), Emotrance, and many others. I find all of those practice effective, but only on a temporary basis in my personal experience. That may seem like a complaint, but to me it is a blseeing. If any one of those practices would have provided perceivable result every time, I'd already be a certified practitioner of that modality, and it is likely that I would not have come across hypnosis.
The results I've gotten from 7th Path and my professional in-person sessions have been CONSISTENT. This consistency has already awakened my passion for hypnosis, and I imagine that my passion will continue to grow as I experience continued results from my hypnosis sessions. Without the personal benefits feeding my passion, I could not see myself practicing hypnosis with clients. In my past, whenever I've had passion for what I was doing, I've been successful. On the other hand, without the passion, I've fallen flat on my face. So for me, persoanl passion for what I'm doing is A key if not THE key to success.
Great podcast: In Napoleon Hill's book Think & Grow Rich. He states over and over that a burning desire is the starting point of all great acheivement. That being said, I think Cal should update the chapter on the subconscious mind.
Being a recent 5-PATH and 7-PATH student I appreciate many of the tools that are already available on this site. I'm just starting to use the resources here as it took a good month after the course for my neurons to stop smoldering.
Just a thought, how about a 1% mentor club, either free or paid.
It could be on a individual or group basis, designed to help you by providing feedback, ideas, suggestions and making you personally accountable for your success.
