Hypnosis Podcast #76: Free Hypnosis Seminar – Hypnosis & Christianity, When Can Religion & Hypnotherapy Get Along - An Interview with Rev. Dr. Scot Giles
Thank you Dr. Rev. Scot Giles for offering so much information and dedication to hypnosis and hypnotism. I have been recently approached by Christians who ask me about the "dark side" of hypnosis. I feel after listening to the podcast, I can offer a very educated and sustainable reply. The information you provide in this podcast is objective, factual, practical and of high integrity. I appreciate your candor and honesty. I feel as though my eyes have been opened. The additional links and information provided is a wonderful bonus! Thank you for your energy and dedication to such a powerful and beautiful "Scientific Helping Technique"!
Thank you Cal for posting this on your ever expanding information warehouse.

Wow! What a man Rev Dr. Giles is. Awesome background. Now I add his name to my list of those I would love to have at my dinner table. You're invited to Australia at any time.
"The fearful faithful" - what a great term.
Hypnosis is a modern secular helping practice. These words in themselves say so much in my mind when discussing hypnosis with the fearful faithful.
I think the discussion about the context in which we talk about anything (prooftexting) was fascinating & really powerful. I now know that even some academics have used prooftexting taking statistical evidence out of context.
I agree with your conclusion Cal, we really just don't want to get into a religious or spiritual argument with the faithful fearful. Very appreciative to Scott and his answer to this question of explaining hypnosis. Thanks.
Like you Scott, our cats run our home too... 😊

Ps. as usual Cal thanks for all you do. My hypno hero

Thank you Jennifer, for taking the time to write up a comment. I have forwarded it to Scot. I'm sure he will appricate it as well.
I believe that this seminar was one of the most important programs that I have posted in a long time.
Thanks,
Cal
