   Thanks very much for the helpful answer to my question. I like the approach you suggest of focusing more on helping the client overcome self-limiting fear in general, so that he can then make the best choice for himself with a clear head. Maybe I'm overly concerned about contributing to a poor decision on their part, and that is in some ways a failure to detach myself from their personal responsibility. Plus who the heck am I to decide what is best for them...

   I see that you really aren't getting advance warning on some of these questions. hmmm, I will have to come up with one that stumps you! (hopefully one that isn't just for stumping's sake).
