What fun to see you both do this podcast!!! Some how Ozzie and Harriet come to mind. Haha Maureen as usual you hit the nail on the head with your talk. Having worked in sales most of my life it will never cease to amaze me what people wear to work!
Not that I am the fashion queen or anything like that, but common sense rules. When I worked at your center in Minnesota there were only a few times that the therapists dressed unprofessionally, you nipped it right away. First impressions are lasting.
What really shocked me though was the casual manner in which Hypnotists dressed at the NGH convention! Jeans, shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, out of place cleavage. The awards dinner was a combination of semi formal to very casual. This is the big event of the year!! What kind of an impression was left with the servers at the banquet and the staff of the hotel? These folks are all potential clients to someone. It all goes back to everyone being professional in this profession. Removing the old stereotype of the hypnotist. Word of mouth is the biggest form of advertisement!
Booking the clients is easy! Your techniques you teach are really very simple, listen to what they have to say, compliment them on making a positive change in thier life and schedule all the appointments at one time so it works well for their schedule. Most important though, is really being yourself on the phone so that the sincerity in your voice comes through loud and clear!
Between what I already knew, and what I learned from working at your center has made my job here at Dynamic Minds - Hypnosis Center & Training easier.
You two help to make this profession professional!! Keep it up!!
This presentation is great. So much nicer to see you both talking - almost as good as being there with you.
I'm looking forward to catching up with you again at this years convention.
Warm regards
