I just got back yesterday from John Gray’s Ranch here in California. We had a great time talking about how Men are From Mars and Women are From Venus. This guy knows a LOT about nutrition and how men and women’s needs differ.
I shared my book The Secret Language of Feelings with him, and he said that he really like the principles that I discussed with him!

We just got back from the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention! Wow, I had a great time teaching some hypnosis workshops and visiting with my hypno-friends. This year was especially great because Celeste was there for the first time. AND, since I had her there I put her to work! I’ll tell you more about that later…

We all had a wonderful time on the Thursday night before the convention at our Annual 5-PATHers Class Reunion and Award Banquet.
Congratulations to the award recipients this year. I had the honor of giving out awards to four people!
First were the 5-PATHers!
Jerry Valley was our guest of honor this year, and it was my pleasure to present him with the 5-PATHers, Lifetime Achievement Award (an award presented by the 5-PATH® Assoc. to recognize an individual’s lifetime of accomplishments in the profession of hypnotism).

I was also honored this year by the National Guild of Hypnotists by receiving the President’s Award! Thank you NGH and Dr. Dwight Damon.

Wow, what a busy day yesterday. I found out that all my hypnosis workshops were sold out days in advance! So I made sure to spend extra time at my booth yesterday visiting with everyone who was not able to get into the workshops. There are still two more days to go at the hypnotists convention.
I’m really looking forward to visiting with all the hypnotists here! So, if you are at the NGH convention make sure to stop by and say “hello”.
Now with a little luck I’ll get the video camera working and perhaps we can post a podcast from the convention. For sure, I’ll at least post some photos later on.

 I just wanted to get out a quick note to everyone who is coming to the NGH Convention to let you know about my two talks on Friday.
They are…
Advanced Hypnosis for Weight Loss: Go Beyond the Script for Maximum Results, which will include how and when to use direct suggestions hypnosis in order to maximize your success, 3 major factors that hypnotists often overlook, how to make emotions work for your client weight loss goals, and why hypnotic age regression can make your sessions much more powerful. Much more in this two hour seminar.
How to Go Full Time in the Hypnosis Profession! During this *free* one hour talk, I will spill the beans on how we built one of the most successful hypnosis centers in the country. I’ll give you a 5 point plan on how to boost your number of clients, improve your income stream, AND have a more satisfying practice of hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
By the way, I don’t have the NGH catalog with me as I am typing out this note, so these may not be the exact titles of the talk, just know that I am giving one in the morning and one in the afternoon on Friday. If possible you should let the NGH know right away that you want to attend these talks, so that you can get in. Each year many are disappointed because they cannot get into one or more of my talks.
By the way, we always give out very nice certificates of attendance for going to my classes.

(Covered) Page titles and descriptions should be unique. Every page on your website should have a unique title and description.

(Covered) Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it. Don’t get spammy.

(Covered) Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. You can use both.

(Covered) Check for broken links on your website. Links that don’t go anywhere are bad.

Do not make your site or web page too complicated. Give the users easy navigation options. If it is easy for a person to use your site then it is easy for a spider (a search engine) to crawl.

Sign up for Google Analytics www.google.com/analytics. This is a great, free tool to find information about people browsing your website.

Create a robots.txt file for your website and properly configure it. This is an advanced tactic, and you can find more information about robot.txt files here.
Remember, you do not have to implement all of these keys or techniques yourself. You can use the information that we have provided for you to consult with your webmaster.

Here is an interesting news flash that I thought would be of interest, so I’m passing it along. More news articles like this can be found on www.Hypnosis.ORG in the Hypnosis News Area.
ScienceDaily (July 29, 2008) — A scientist at the University of Liverpool has found that hypnosis can slow down the impacts of dementia and improve quality of life for those living with the condition.
They found that people living with dementia who had received hypnosis therapy showed an improvement in concentration, memory and socialization compared to the other two treatment groups.
